Bio Bash

24 - 27 May 2018

Kuzuko Lodge has partnered with The LionHeart Experience to bring potential guests and visitors the ultimate experience in conservation, the Kuzuko Bio Bash 2018.

Titled the "Science on Safari", the Bio Bash is a unique safari experience that takes into account the full biodiversity of the lodge and leads guests though a literal treasure trove of adventures that include: star gazing, geology, bird ringing, succulents, discovering scorpions, camera trapping and big cat tracking.

"We have put together a team of experts that will take Bio Bash guests through a host of different experiences that will add value and context to their visit. With the Karoo as our playground the three day adventure is geared to leave guests with not only a better understanding of the different biospheres in which we live, but educated and entertained at the same time," states Catherina de Lange, general manager at Kuzuko Lodge.

The Kuzuko Lodge, a Legacy Hotel and Resort, is situated in the Eastern Cape and bordering the Addo National Elephant Park, it is a gateway to the Karoo and is home to Sylvester the Lion, a celebrity in his own right.

The event will be hosted from 25 - 27 May 2018, and is the first of many Bio Bash experiences the lodge is looking to offer in the near future. While day visitors are welcome, the lodge offers 24 exquisite five star chalets that offer a truly unique African Safari experience under a canopy of stars rivalled by none.

The LionHeart Experience is headed by Richard McKibbin and his wife Candice. Richard is an extremely passionate naturalist and has been involved in wildlife his whole life. He is a qualified guide and has years of experience in guiding, 4×4 expeditions throughout Southern Africa. Both him and Candice worked in leopard research in iSimangaliso Wetland Park in 2014 - 2015, and set up the Impendulo Community Project, an NGO and charity organisation in rural Zululand. Along with the knowledgeable guides of Kuzuko Lodge, they make up the Bio Bash team.
