We were privileged to have Hunter Mitchell visit us!
Hunter had been following the stories of the baby rhinos at Aquila Private Game Reserve when he heard about a baby rhino that was abandoned by its mother. He used all his savings money and raised a further R10 000 towards the baby rhino’s care.
This young passionate youth leader has since become famous for his environmental efforts and has won a number of accolades – among these a royal award from the Queen of England which was presented to him by Prince Harry in Cape Town, and a Wildlife Warrior Award from Steve Irwin which he received in Australia when he was there to speak about rhinos at a number of schools.
During his visit, Hunter explained to us how he got involved in conservation and we took him around Kuzuko Lodge to see the bushman paintings, educational centre and reserve.
Hunter has delivered presentations to more than 10 000 pupils locally and in Asia, over Skype. We were so happy to have him at Kuzuko!
Get involved in conservation and show the world that no matter your age or size, you can make a difference. By just taking action!
With us in these photos are the kids of our visiting guests and of our staff members.
