Educational Wildlife Experience

Education on conservation can only be effective and successful if we teach our children to love and protect their living heritage. As part of the upliftment of the disadvantaged communities surrounding our reserve, Kuzuko offers an educational programme funded by the Kuzuko Foundation.

Our schools programme is amended to suit each institution's needs and timing schedules. The programme begins with welcome drinks at the Kuzuko gatehouse, followed by an educational walk to the Koisan rock paintings.

An educational presentation on recycling and the impact thereof on the environment is followed by a site inspection of our five star lodge facilities.

After all the walking and learning it's time for lunch at our Bush Braai Boma.

Lunch is made up of delicious boerewors and stokbrood or dough on a stick that the learners cook over the coals themselves, and a cooldrink. After which learners are treated to ice cream and chocolate sauce.

Then it's time for our learners to take part in a drawing competition where they can win fun prizes.

To end off the day we treat them to a game drive in the Big 5 reserve, as many of our local school children have never seen game in the wild.

Through this educational initiative we hope to instil a love for conservation in our local children.
