Outdoor Boma

A Boma dinner is an African outdoor dining experience.

At Kuzuko Lodge our guests dine under the African night sky encircled by spekboom and re-purposed sneezewood fencing poles - all indigenous to the area. The dinner is usually made up of a sumptuous buffet of traditional South African and more specifically authentic Karoo Cuisine, and includes venison options.

Barbequed meat such as warthog ribs, flavoursome Karoo lamb cutlets and traditional boerewors is complimented by venison stew or potjiekos - as it's known locally.

A chicken dish is served as part of the rest of the buffet, which is dished from traditional black pots. Side dishes include vegetables, corn on the cob and the chef's personal version of the authentic South African pap and tomato gravy. Starters include soups and home-made bread with a variety of salads.

This authentic Boma dinner is followed by a delicious dessert buffet.
