We took our time looking for the perfect spot to build Kuzuko, scouting many locations and even leaving weather stations out to find that perfect mix of views, sunrises, sunsets, and weather protection. The hilltop we chose was not an easy place to build but we think you’ll agree that it was worth the effort!

Kuzuko features 24 luxurious thatched chalets designed in a Karoo chic style and all located to maximise both views and privacy. Each 33m2 chalet consists of an open plan bedroom and living area that can be made up as two twin beds or one super king size bed, a lounge area that leads to your private deck, separate bathroom with a toilet, walk in shower, and a bath with a spectacular view. Additional amenities include a tea and coffee station, a minibar that can be stocked on request, safe, wardrobe, hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi.
Five of our chalets are family friendly with a pull-out sofa bed that can accommodated two children under 13 or one child 13+. Three of our chalets are fully accessible.

We South Africans take our food seriously, it’s part of who we are and something we love to share. Our gourmet cuisine at Kuzuko is inspired by the land around us – whether that be our unique Karoo lamb that is naturally infused by the flavours of our unique biome or our spekboom salad, a homage to the special tree that plays such a special role in our restoration project.
It’s fair to say that food is a pretty major feature of the Kuzuko experience. Our food offers a modern twist on traditional South African cuisine from high teas filled with surprising nibbles and delectable cakes to our full four course dinner menu that is an experience in itself.
In line with our mission to delivery sustainable luxury travel, we use local produce and support our local farmers wherever possible -it’s better for the planet and it tastes better too!
